The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $108,000 - $138,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Software Engineer – R&D & Sustaining

This is What You Will Do in This Role:

Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into scalable and robust AGV software solutions.

Design, develop, test, and debug software for autonomous vehicle systems, including job sequencing, environmental perception, object detection, motion control, navigation, embedded I/O, graphical user interfaces, and safety systems.

Take ownership of assigned software modules, ensuring quality, maintainability, and long-term support.

Investigate software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement durable solutions.

Develop and maintain software using Delphi and related tools and frameworks.

Support software productization and deployment, working with execution teams to ensure successful software releases.

Participate in software release cycles, including development, testing, debugging, and deployment.

Integrate new mechatronics technologies into the software stack.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new vehicle development and product improvements.

Contribute to software development practices and processes that improve product quality, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of experience in software development or a related role.

Proficiency in Delphi or similar object-oriented programming languages.

Strong understanding of software development principles, practices, and lifecycle management.

Experience with multi-threaded and client-server software architectures.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex software issues.

Ability to develop software with a focus on long-term maintainability, product sustainability, and ease of future development and support.

Experience working collaboratively with internal teams and external customers.

Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Experience with AGVs, robotics, automation, material handling, or industrial systems is preferred.

Experience with robotics, motion control, navigation, or real-time systems is preferred.

Experience developing GUIs or working with industrial communication protocols is preferred.

Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and tools such as JIRA and GitLab is preferred.

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
