Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, SQL, and Hibernate
Develop and integrate application services, database components, user interfaces, and data processing capabilities across Windows and Linux environments
Build, maintain, and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Git, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, and related development tools
Develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, and related technologies
Perform unit, integration, regression, and system testing to ensure software quality, reliability, security, and performance
Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, and infrastructure issues through effective debugging and performance optimization
Collaborate with technical and mission teams to understand requirements, recommend solutions, document software designs, and deliver production-ready capabilities

Qualifications
Required:
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
Operating Environments: Windows, Linux, AWS, Tomcat, Oracle, and FidOS
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline
Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant software engineering or information technology experience
Education Equivalency: Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of specialized experience, or six additional years of specialized experience in place of a college degree
Demonstrated experience developing software using Java, Python, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, SQL, and Hibernate
Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools, including Git and Jenkins, and build tools such as Gradle or Maven
Experience with unit and integration testing, software debugging, performance optimization, relational and non-relational databases, and data engineering or analytics tools
Desired
Experience deploying and maintaining applications using Tomcat, Oracle, Windows, Linux, and AWS
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, and Auto Scaling
Experience with Elasticsearch and large-scale search, data indexing, or analytics solutions
Experience with supporting technologies such as Puppet, Nexus, SQL Developer, and Eclipse
Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available applications in classified or mission-critical environments
Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Basic Compensation
$205,500 to $251,200 annual salary
This range is for the Virginia area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
