Title: Principal AI Engineer
Work Arrangement: Remote
Work Type: 3-month Contract-to-Hire
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver high-impact innovation solutions aligned with financial services business goals and technology trends.
Architect and build end-to-end prototypes, production-ready AI applications, agentic workflows, APIs, automations, integrations, and reusable assets.
Translate GenAI, RAG, and agentic concepts into production-grade solutions using Google Cloud, Vertex AI, and Gemini.
Design and implement agentic/multi-agent systems using Google ADK, Agent Engine, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks.
Define cloud-native deployment patterns for AI/agent services, including Cloud Run, CI/CD, observability, logging, monitoring, and secure configuration.
Architect or integrate AI gateways/model-proxy layers with model routing, authentication, access controls, guardrails, policy enforcement, and usage governance.
Define RAG/grounding patterns using Vertex AI Search/Discovery Engine or comparable enterprise retrieval technologies.
Establish AI governance and engineering standards covering token usage, cost management, security, guardrails, evaluation, observability, reference architectures, reusable templates, API/orchestration patterns, and secure AI development.
Partner with technology teams on enterprise architecture, IAM, data access, compliance, private networking, and reuse opportunities.
Must Have Experience/ Skills:
15+ year hands-on engineer/architect who has:
Shipped at least one production GenAI/agentic app on Google Cloud.
Used Vertex AI + Gemini in production.
Built APIs + UI + integrations.
Implemented RAG, guardrails, evaluation, AI gateway, governance.
Deployed on Cloud Run or similar.
Worked in a regulated/financial services setting.

Qualifications
- 15+ year hands-on engineer/architect experience.
- Experience shipping at least one production GenAI/agentic app on Google Cloud.
- Proficient in using Vertex AI + Gemini in production.
- Experience building APIs + UI + integrations.
- Implemented RAG, guardrails, evaluation, AI gateway, governance.
- Deployed on Cloud Run or similar.
- Experience working in a regulated/financial services setting.
