About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER will contribute to the modernization of critical healthcare software by designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications within an agile environment. This role is responsible for refining business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, and leading engineering efforts to deliver cloud-native applications. The position supports operational excellence and mentors junior engineers, directly impacting the quality and efficiency of software that benefits the health and well-being of service members and veterans.

Responsibilities:

Design, code, test, and debug applications meeting technical and business requirements

Collaborate with stakeholders and product owners to develop requirements

Translate business needs into technical solutions and recommend alternatives

Lead engineering efforts to meet timelines with optimal solutions

Perform code reviews

Build, deploy, monitor, and operate production services

Communicate effectively with business and technical teams

Mentor junior software engineers

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 2 years of experience in full lifecycle software development in agile environments

At least 2 years of experience with web applications and RESTful web services

Experience with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases

Proficiency in .NET Core or similar object-oriented programming languages

Experience with Angular, React, or other JavaScript frameworks

At least 1 year of experience with cloud-native applications in Azure or similar

Experience using AI tools in software development lifecycle to improve quality and efficiency

United States citizenship

Ability to obtain and maintain a Confidential/Secret or Top-Secret security clearance

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The salary for this role ranges from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment
