What They Do
This engineer helps build and support the software systems that keep a semiconductor factory running efficiently. They work on manufacturing systems, equipment automation, production tracking, quality monitoring, and factory data integration.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Configure and support MES and automation software
Maintain production data such as process flows, recipes, and materials
Integrate factory systems with equipment and automation platforms
Troubleshoot manufacturing software issues affecting production
Support testing, go-live activities, and system rollouts
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, automation, and IT teams
Help improve factory efficiency through software and automation solutions
Must-Have Skills
✅ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
✅ 3-6 years of experience supporting manufacturing software systems
✅ Experience with:
MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
Factory Automation
CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)
Equipment Automation
Quality Systems (SPC, FDC)
✅ Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes
✅ Experience troubleshooting production system issues
✅ Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Nice-to-Haves
⭐ Experience with Applied Materials software
⭐ Experience supporting a semiconductor fab, assembly, or test facility
⭐ System integrations and factory software deployments
⭐ Equipment interfaces and material handling systems
⭐ Exposure to AI/ML or manufacturing analytics
