Hiredbuddy is seeking an entry-level Java Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our core software products. Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications using industry best practices.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following coding standards.

Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables and learn from peer feedback.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to understand requirements and implement features.

Debug and resolve software defects, performing root cause analysis when necessary.

Assist in the design of RESTful APIs and integrate with front-end components.

Manage database interactions using SQL and ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JPA.

Maintain and improve existing codebases, refactoring when needed to enhance performance and readability.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

Stay updated with emerging trends in Java development and propose improvements to our tech stack.

Qualifications

0-2 years of professional experience in software development, including internships or personal projects.

Solid understanding of Java programming language, object-oriented design, and data structures.

Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

Exposure to web development concepts, including REST APIs and HTTP protocols.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for remote collaboration.

A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Requirements

0-2 years of experience in Java development (including academic projects)

Proficiency in Java, OOP principles, and data structures

Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
