Software EngineerA. Primary Purpose of Job

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting software applications. Works within established SDLC, coding, security, and architectural standards to deliver reliable and maintainable solutions. Collaborates with development, infrastructure, architecture, security, data, project teams, and end users to resolve issues and deliver business solutions.

B. Duties and Responsibilities1. Product Development and Engineering –

Design, develop, modify, test, debug, deploy, and maintain software applications in accordance with established SDLC processes and coding standards.

Utilize multiple programming languages, development tools, frameworks, and database technologies.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues while providing effective customer support.

Analyze incidents to determine root cause and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.

Accurately document application issues, resolutions, technical processes, and support activities.

Participate in code reviews, technical design, testing, application releases, and quality assurance activities.

Develop and maintain automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes and deployment pipelines.

Utilize Microsoft Azure services and cloud technologies for application development, deployment, integration, monitoring, and support.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate and standardize infrastructure and application environments.

Apply DevOps, automation, security, scalability, performance, and reliability best practices.

Assist with technical debt management, application modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate across technical teams to resolve dependencies, coordinate releases, and support application delivery.

Contribute to requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.

Provide technical input and documentation for application service management and backlog prioritization.

  • Training and Professional Development –

Seek and apply feedback to continuously improve technical and professional skills.

Participate in training, self-study, seminars, certifications, and other professional development activities.

Maintain current knowledge of Microsoft Azure, IaC, CI/CD, DevOps, cloud technologies, automation, programming languages, and industry best practices.

Work with senior developers and technical professionals to expand development and system knowledge.

Mentor and support junior developers through knowledge transfer, code reviews, and technical guidance.

  • Administration and Communication –

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, project teams, customers, and other stakeholders.

Clearly communicate technical information, project status, issues, recommendations, and progress.

Prepare accurate and professional technical and business documentation.

Maintain accurate project, support, work-item, and time-tracking records.

Communicate task progress, completion, scheduling needs, and technical issues in a timely manner.

Microsoft Azure / Cloud Computing

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Source control, preferably Git
