Overview
Epitec is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a high-impact team focused on developing innovative software solutions that support advanced power management, controls, and optimization technologies. This role is ideal for a strong full-stack engineer who thrives in Agile environments and enjoys building scalable, high-quality applications from concept through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications.
Create high-level software architecture and technical solution designs.
Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and back-end services.
Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, and cross-functional teams.
Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices.
Optimize application performance and continuously improve code quality through refactoring and best practices.
Support software security initiatives, including data protection and encryption practices.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve development efficiency and solution capabilities.
Engage directly with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of overall IT experience.
4+ years of professional software development experience.
4+ years of experience developing web applications using object-oriented programming principles.
Strong experience with:
Java
Spring Boot
Spring MVC
Spring Cloud
Spring JDBC
REST APIs and Microservices
PostgreSQL
Angular, React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and TDD.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, or similar.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive tasks to completion.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, XML, and SOA-based integrations.
Experience with Pair Programming and Extreme Programming (XP) practices.
