Job Title: Forward Deployed Engineer
Location: Pleasanton, CA (On-Site)
Job Description:
A Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is a customer-facing software or AI engineer who works directly within a client's business environment to solve complex business challenges using technology.
Key responsibilities include:
Understanding customer business problems and requirements.
Designing and developing custom software solutions.
Building and managing data pipelines.
Deploying solutions into production environments.
Troubleshooting issues and optimizing implementations.
Acting as a bridge between customer needs and technology solutions.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions.
Python, SQL, APIs and Microservices, Cloud Platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable), Machine Learning and Data Science fundamentals.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI/ML, or solution consulting roles.

- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Vector Databases
- Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices
