Overview
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join our Connected Systems team. This internship provides the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of software solutions spanning embedded systems, IoT devices, cloud services, and user-facing applications. Interns will gain hands-on experience while collaborating with engineers across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing, testing, and implementing scalable and secure software components.
Write, test, and debug code under guidance from senior engineers.
Support troubleshooting efforts and help optimize existing codebases.
Participate in research of new technologies, tools, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software integrates effectively across systems.
Document work clearly and present findings or progress to the engineering team.

Required
Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Programming experience with at least one language (e.g., C#, Python, Javascript, or C++).
Familiarity with common software development tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD systems).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred (not Required)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular) or backend systems.
Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
Experience with IoT devices, robotics, or embedded platforms (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ROS).
Additional Information
Internship is full-time (40 hours/week) during standard business hours, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
Some project deadlines may require flexibility.
Pay Range
$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
