- About the Opportunity:
The Staff Software Engineer (AI) leads engineering teams in designing and building software products that meet user and business needs. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality, maintainable code while supporting and mentoring junior engineers. The position plays a key role in product development, tool selection, system architecture, and ensuring security and performance standards are met. The role is critical in driving technical excellence and enabling successful product outcomes.
- Responsibilities:
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a focus on delivering value
Build reusable code components and contribute to architectural documentation
Collaborate with product teams to ensure user stories are clear and testable
Lead technical discussions and provide guidance on modern development frameworks
Support junior engineers’ growth through mentorship
Drive improvements in team productivity and processes
Engage in multi-modal communication tailored to diverse audiences
Apply a global perspective to problem-solving and decision-making
- Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of relevant software engineering experience
Proficiency with front end technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript/Typescript) and object-oriented programming (preferably Java)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling
Knowledge of cloud computing, CI/CD tools, and modern software design patterns
Skills in security frameworks for authentication and authorization
Experience in automated testing including unit, functional, and performance tests
Ability to perform debugging and root cause analysis
Familiarity with version control systems
Experience designing systems for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and security
Exposure to technical roadmaps, including work estimation and legacy system modernization
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence engineering teams
Effective communication skills with technical and leadership stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and at least eighteen years old
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The pay range for this position is between $120,000.00 - $190,000.00
