- Strong backend engineering using Java and/or Python
- Staff/Principal-level technical leadership experience
- Developer platforms / Developer Experience (DevEx)
- Internal developer tooling or engineering infrastructure
- Distributed systems and microservices
- API design
- CI/CD architecture and automation
- AWS, Azure or GCP
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Highly available backend systems
- Infrastructure/platform automation
- Observability: monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting
- Relational and NoSQL databases
- Angular / TypeScript familiarity
- Strong architecture, scalability, reliability, performance and security knowledge
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence multiple teams without direct authority

Important: We need a true hands-on Staff Engineer, not simply a people manager. The candidate should be able to operate at both the architecture/strategy level and implementation level.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of developer platforms and internal engineering infrastructure.
- Operate at both the architectural strategy level and the hands-on implementation level to improve developer experience.
