About the Opportunity:

The Software Engineer III designs and delivers software solutions that improve performance, quality, reliability, and business outcomes across global forwarding operations. This role collaborates with users, product managers, principal engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into impactful technical solutions. The position contributes to technological advancement, engineering excellence, and customer service improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software and design solutions with a focus on performance, reliability, and availability.
• Engage directly with users to understand business needs and ensure solutions deliver meaningful value.
• Collaborate with product managers and principal engineers to develop detailed technical designs.
• Conduct code reviews and develop unit, integration, and acceptance tests to maintain high-quality software.
• Optimize and refactor code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production performance, reliability, and availability issues.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation.
• Develop secure software and proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities.
• Estimate development efforts and coordinate technical dependencies across teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, engineering practices, and industry trends.
• Mentor junior engineers and continuously develop technical skills.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, development standards, and software lifecycle improvements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C# and .NET.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with relational or non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with HTTP and RESTful architecture.
• At least 1 year of experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or TFS.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and software delivery workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $119,800–$202,300 for the specified location.
• Individual base pay is determined by skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors.
• Compensation details reflect base pay only and do not include variable compensation.
