Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Engineer to join our client's innovative AI engineering organization. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying advanced AI solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial advisors and improve client engagement. As an integral part of a new, greenfield initiative, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable, enterprise-grade AI capabilities that address real business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered solutions from conception to production.

Collaborate closely with business partners, product teams, architects, and data scientists to identify high-value opportunities for AI solutions.

Build and maintain scalable, secure AI systems utilizing large language models (LLMs), AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques, and advanced analytics.

Develop enterprise knowledge systems, semantic search capabilities, and recommendation engines leveraging vector databases and retrieval frameworks.

Deploy and scale applications within cloud environments, adhering to best practices in platform engineering, security, and scalability.

Apply modern software engineering principles, including containerization, orchestration, infrastructure automation, and microservices architecture.

Solve complex technical challenges related to software architecture, performance, reliability, and security.

Drive continuous improvement of AI platforms and capabilities, ensuring solutions are production-ready and aligned with enterprise standards.

Partner effectively across engineering, data, product, and business teams to deliver innovative AI solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of software engineering experience.

Proven experience designing and delivering scalable, production-grade software solutions and distributed systems.

Deep expertise in building AI applications utilizing large language models, agent frameworks, and orchestration platforms.

Experience developing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, and enterprise knowledge systems using vector databases.

Strong full-stack engineering skills with modern languages and frameworks such as Python, TypeScript, Node.js, APIs, React, and Next.js.

Hands-on experience deploying and scaling applications within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or any Cloud.

Familiarity with modern platform engineering and DevOps practices, including containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud-native architectures.

Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, security principles, and reliability for enterprise applications.

Excellent problem-solving abilities, technical judgment, and a passion for innovative solutions.

Effective collaboration skills across cross-functional teams, capable of managing initiatives from concept through deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with internal enterprise problem-solving methodologies.

Knowledge of advanced retrieval frameworks and vector database technologies.

Background in automating workflows and integrating enterprise data sources.

Prior experience working in the financial services industry or similar regulated environments.
