Role Summary
We're looking for a Staff/Principal Software Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, builds from zero, and ships
fast. This is a hands-on IC role with significant architectural influence - you'll design the system and write the
code. You'll work at the intersection of edge computing, backend services, and AI/ML platforms, collaborating
closely with data science to build the foundation for trust-signal processing and machine learning inference

Area Expectation
Experience 10+ years building production distributed systems
Data platforms Experience building features for ML inference pipelines - data normalization, feature
stores, model serving integration
AI-assisted
development
Demonstrated proficiency with AI dev tools (GitHub Copilot, LLM-powered workflows,
agentic coding assistants) - this is a key differentiator for how this team operates
Greenfield builder Track record of taking systems from 0 to 1; comfortable with undefined requirements
and rapid iteration
Architecture Ability to own and communicate system design decisions across teams; translate
ambiguous product goals into technical plans
Area Expectation
Pace & ambiguity Thrives in startup-like environments - fast tempo, evolving scope, small team with

Backend Deep expertise in Java Spring Boot - API design, microservices, event-driven

Languages Deep expertise in Java and/or the ability to work effectively in
JavaScript/TypeScript-based edge runtimes
