About The Role
Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking a Software Engineer in Maryland Heights, MO, to support future franchise programs. This pivotal role involves developing cutting-edge software for the next generation Mission Planning system designed for the Department of Defense. As a Software Engineer, you will be integral to a dynamic software development scrum team, employing the SAFe Agile methodology to produce advanced weapon planning software. The system architecture is microservices-based, utilizing JavaScript and React for front-end development and primarily C# for back-end services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical aerospace projects that have a significant impact on national security and defense capabilities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, data science, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance. A minimum of 5+ years of software development experience is required, with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, C#, and/or C++. Experience with RESTful API development, version control systems like Git or Azure DevOps, and Agile methodologies is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems will be advantageous, along with familiarity with cybersecurity principles and open architecture systems.
Responsibilities
Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of weapon planning software throughout its lifecycle.
Assist the Product Owner in reviewing, analyzing, and translating customer requirements into initial software designs.
Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities, including system integrations.
Document architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products.
Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot technical problems and implement effective solutions.
Contribute to the development, establishment, monitoring, and improvement of software processes and standards.

The summary base pay range for this position is $105,000 to $128,140.
