Job Description

ARCO Marine, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and worldwide supplier of high-quality rotating electrical parts and accessories for Marine and RV OEMs and aftermarket. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a candidate who can lead product development initiatives for the DC products we produce.

ARCO has developed a Best-In-Class Bluetooth Alternator Regulator (Zeus) winning the industry’s highest innovation award, and needs an electronics and coding expert to continually optimize/ integrate as well as develop the next superlative product. With the help of in-house engineers, the right candidate will support the Zeus ecosphere by updating code and developing adjacent products. The successful candidate should be inquisitive and exhibit an innate ability to iterate with the end product in mind. While R&D is paramount to the success of our products, attention must be paid to the practical implication of industrial design in a go-to-market culture. We move quickly, responsibly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Support High Energy product initiatives

· Design, engineer and support features that optimize our award-winning alternator regulators

· Create new products related to our DC power management (including, but not limited to design, circuitry coding and BOMs)

· Improve Firmware of devices and develop product App for balance of performance, ease-of-use, and safety

· Support the application and integration of our high energy DC voltage regulators with popular systems in the Marine and RV Industries

· Support technical decision making and troubleshooting efforts

· Create documentation of technical product

· Must be able to manage multiple high priority initiatives simultaneously

· Ensure that newly developed products perform to ARCO standards with an aesthetic to match

Qualifications:

· BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

· 3+ years’ Experience with embedded systems (C/C++ is a MUST)

· 3+ years of experience in DC electrical design, engineering, and coding for a manufactured product

· Hands-on experience a plus

· Must be a problem-solver and willing to ask questions

· Strong references, from whom you reported, that support your suitability for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in the design of automotive communication networks (CAN, Lin, NMEA2000)

· Experience with Flutter or near identical program for apps and software

· Experience in industrial design

· Practical experience using AutoCad or Fusion360
