The Role
- Develop and provide Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) and Satellite Management Controller (SMC) software and firmware for machine learning accelerator servers.
- Collaborate with other server and board software teams on accelerator management firmware and programmable logic devices.
- Support the development of mission-mode firmware, manufacturing exercisers, and qualification/deployment automation.
- Participate in new product development, including concept design reviews, schematic approvals, board bring-up, and laboratory testing.
- Work with technologies ranging from Linux kernel device drivers to I2C infrastructure within servers.
- Focus on developing reliable server software and hardware for large-scale machine learning deployments.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
- 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience in embedded development using C/C++.
- Familiarity with operating systems, Linux architecture, embedded systems, and control systems.
- Experience with languages such as C, C++, Lua, Bash, and Python.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
