About the Opportunity:

The STAFF AI ENGINEER role is focused on advancing the organization's data and intelligence capabilities by developing systems that transform large-scale operational and product data into actionable insights. This position is critical in building retrieval, graph, inference layers, and agentic systems that enable efficient context retrieval and decision-making processes for customers and internal teams. The role contributes to creating shared AI capabilities that enhance overall organizational performance and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deploy production AI software regularly.

Lead efforts to improve rapid retrieval of customer context using semantic, indexing, and knowledge graph methods.

Build inference models and processors interacting with the data lakehouse, delivering scored insights.

Translate detected signals into operational workflows with appropriate human oversight.

Select appropriate methods and tools balancing AI model usage and deterministic logic, considering inference costs.

Implement evaluation and observability frameworks for AI systems to ensure reliability.

Establish development patterns and collaborate with leadership to align AI systems with company objectives.

Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years in software engineering, including at least 3 years in AI or ML production environments.

Strong programming skills, especially in Python or equivalent languages used in AI and data processing.

Expertise in large-scale data handling, including advanced SQL, data transformations (dbt), and distributed query engines.

Experience with production-level retrieval systems, including embeddings, vector search, and graph retrieval.

Familiarity with agentic systems, durable workflows, and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and codebases.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:
