About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-throughput applications and services across the full engineering stack. This role focuses on integrating AI tools and services such as intelligent assistants, semantic search, and automated decision workflows, primarily using Oracle 26 AI Database technologies. The engineer collaborates with architects and peers to advance development efficiency through DevOps practices and enterprise AI tools, directly impacting the delivery of innovative health technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and integrate AI tools and services focusing on Oracle 26 AI DB

Deliver scalable architecture and implementations from UI to database and API integrations

Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and delivery planning

Enhance DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and containerization

Identify and implement technical improvements and refactor legacy components

Review code and design proposals; communicate technical concepts clearly

Utilize enterprise-approved AI tools to automate tasks and improve workflows

Evaluate emerging trends to inform design and innovation

Be available for nighttime performance tests several times a month

Requirements:

7+ years software development experience

4+ years with Java / J2EE, Web Services, Spring, Hibernate

3+ years in CI/CD and DevOps practices

3+ years stakeholder management experience

1+ years experience with AI/ML-driven solutions

1+ years designing or implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with large-scale, high-throughput, or distributed applications

Skilled in system design, architecture, and delivery planning

Proven ability to improve system reliability, scalability, and maintainability

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Expertise with Oracle Database 19c, 23ai, or 26ai development and administration

Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning

Experience with Oracle AI Vector Search, embeddings, and RAG applications

Familiarity with observability practices for production systems

Knowledge of LLMs, Vector Databases, Agent-Based AI, and AI solution design

Database performance tuning, query optimization, and security compliance

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
