The Role
- Spearhead the research and development of next-generation sensor and compute technology for robotic systems.
- Design and develop full-stack embedded software, including device drivers and applications, to enable AI on edge computing.
- Architect system designs, define requirements, write system specifications, and create test plans for robotic components.
- Partner with cross-disciplinary teams, including hardware, software, and operations, as well as external suppliers, to develop advanced sensors and computers.
- Advise internal teams on sensor stack design and integration, and support product release to manufacturing and customer deployment.
What You'll Need
- 6+ years of embedded software development experience, covering the full development cycle from design to deployment.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong proficiency in C/C++.
- 5+ years of experience in leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns and scalability.
- Experience as a mentor or technical lead, guiding engineering teams.
- Experience with sensors such as cameras, time-of-flight, Radar, and Lidar.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
