Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Python Software Engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals and scalable system design experience. This role focuses on building production-grade applications using Python, SQL, and Cloud platforms, while integrating modern Agentic AI workflows and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server patterns.
Candidates do not need a pure AI/ML background, but should be comfortable designing reliable, scalable systems and adopting AI-driven technologies in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop production-grade applications using Python.
Build scalable, modular, and maintainable system architectures following SOLID principles.
Design and optimize relational databases, schemas, and SQL queries.
Develop secure and reliable REST APIs and WebSocket-based real-time integrations.
Build cloud-native solutions using GCP (preferred) or AWS.
Implement resilient integration patterns with logging, monitoring, retries, and circuit breakers.
Participate in architecture reviews and drive engineering best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making (Lead level).
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Python for backend development.
Solid expertise in SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
Strong understanding of scalable system design, modular architecture, and distributed systems.
Experience designing REST APIs and WebSocket integrations.
Knowledge of software design principles including SOLID, caching, API versioning, and asynchronous/event-driven patterns.
Understanding of security best practices including OAuth2, authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to Agentic AI workflows and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
Java experience.
Healthcare or HealthTech domain experience.
Experience with observability, structured logging, and distributed systems monitoring.
