Senior Software Engineer, AI Agent Compute

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Agent Compute to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.
This role will focus on building and evolving the infrastructure that supports secure AI agent workloads in a highly scalable cloud environment. You will lead platform initiatives from design through deployment, partnering closely with engineering teams to strengthen reliability, automation, and production readiness. The position is well suited for a senior engineer who enjoys solving distributed systems challenges and improving the performance of core platform services.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $168,000 – $270,250 annually
Responsibilities
Lead cloud VM platform initiatives from design to deployment
Design and operate scalable services for secure agent workloads
Develop automation for infrastructure and application management
Collaborate with engineering teams to align on platform capabilities
Enhance platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
Maintain high standards for code quality and production readiness
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in software, platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering, with a focus on backend or distributed systems
Strong grasp of distributed systems concepts, including service communication and failure handling
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including data modeling and performance considerations
Understanding of secure software development and cloud security best practices
Experience in AI-native development and coding agents
Strong communication and teamwork skills
