Senior Software Engineer - CI/CD and Software Development Tools
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - CI/CD and Software Development Tools to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.
This role will focus on designing and operating the automation, build, and test infrastructure that supports embedded software delivery at scale. You will partner with software, infrastructure, and validation teams to improve release speed, system reliability, and secure development workflows. The position also plays a key part in connecting cloud services with physical and virtual test environments to strengthen software quality and efficiency.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $129,400 – $260,300 annually
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded software production
Architect and operate cloud-based platforms for build, test, and virtualization capabilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for automation
Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of CI/CD pipelines and platforms
Integrate pipelines with physical and virtual test environments
Develop innovative methods for provisioning and maintaining cloud services
Monitor pipeline performance and identify data-driven improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
5-7 years of experience in software tools, platform, or infrastructure development
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including Azure or AWS
Proficiency in Python, Bash, and at least one of C, C++, or Java
Solid understanding of embedded software development tools
Knowledge of test automation frameworks for software validation
