About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will shape the infrastructure that supports core product delivery, with a strong focus on reliability, deployment efficiency, and operational excellence. You will partner closely with engineering teams to improve the systems that power AI workflows, production services, and internal developer velocity. The position also calls for thoughtful decision-making around cost, performance, and security in a fast-moving environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $220,000 – $292,000 annually

Responsibilities

Own the infrastructure foundation, including GCP, Kubernetes, and deployment processes, with a focus on reliability and efficiency

Manage AI enablement systems, including GPU capacity and pipelines for model training and inference

Make informed engineering decisions that balance cost constraints with performance and efficiency

Implement security measures across systems, including identity and access management and secrets management

Develop clear infrastructure documentation and observability insights to improve team understanding and responsiveness

Drive improvements in team processes, including tools and practices that help teams ship quality releases faster

Mentor and guide engineers through technical feedback and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

8+ years of experience with production distributed systems or similar server-side engineering focused on infrastructure

Experience leveraging agents strategically and critically assessing AI applications in work processes

Experience managing high-stakes systems where failure incurs significant costs, with practical knowledge of reliability and deployment

Hands-on experience with incident management, including on-call responsibilities and executing rollbacks under pressure

Familiarity with SLOs and error budgets as operational tools for reliability management

Proven experience with major cloud services and Kubernetes, with a preference for infrastructure-as-code methodologies

Experience directing the architecture or migration of significant projects, with an understanding of long-term implications and areas for improvement
