About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Architecture & Engineering Velocity to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will shape the architecture and engineering standards that help teams build, ship, and scale cloud-based products more efficiently. You will partner closely with platform, security, and product engineering teams to create reusable foundations that improve developer velocity while maintaining reliability and control. The position also plays a key role in enabling AI-powered capabilities and supporting safe, cost-effective production systems across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,500 – $219,100 annually

Responsibilities

Own AWS architecture and automation across CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and service design

Establish paved roads and reusable components to enable faster production paths for teams

Drive cost-effective architecture decisions for scalable AI and edge workloads

Design developer platforms that support rapid production readiness with built-in security

Monitor and protect user data through architected multi-tenant safety patterns for AI workloads

Lead initiatives to integrate AI as a core capability within platform development

Mentor engineers and advocate for quality and security best practices

Qualifications

8+ years designing scalable, distributed systems with leadership experience across teams

Deep expertise in AWS services and infrastructure as code, including Terraform and AWS CDK

Proficiency in server-side programming, preferably Python and Node.js, with Go or Java experience

Strong knowledge of identity protocols and familiarity with web service proxies such as NGINX and API Gateway

Experience integrating AI and large language model capabilities into production systems

Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools and how to govern their use in CI/CD
