Software Engineer III - Developer Platform & AI Enablement
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer III - Developer Platform & AI Enablement to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will focus on building and improving internal developer platform capabilities that help engineering teams ship more efficiently and consistently. You will partner closely with architects and technical stakeholders to design reusable tooling, infrastructure patterns, and AI-enabled workflows that improve productivity and adoption across the organization. The work blends hands-on software engineering with platform enablement, technical documentation, and collaborative delivery in an Agile environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $102,000 – $136,000 annually
Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and modify software capabilities end to end
Author and review technical designs and architectural artifacts
Develop and document reusable GitHub Actions for the organization
Manage the development of reusable infrastructure modules
Build and operate MCP servers, including schema design and authentication
Extend the internal agent platform and contribute to routing functionalities
Collaborate on architectural design and project planning in an Agile environment
Qualifications
BS or MS in Computer Science required
3-5 years of software development experience
Experience creating internal tools for engineers, with insight on adoption
Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot
Experience with GitHub Actions and Infrastructure as Code authoring
Proven technical writing skills for design documents and technical guidelines
Willingness to teach in live presentations and workshops
