Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will partner directly with customers in the field to assess security and compliance workflows, translate business and technical needs into practical solutions, and drive rapid deployment of production-ready software.
The ideal candidate will bridge Product, Engineering, and customer stakeholders while building AI-enabled tools, integrations, and data-driven workflows that improve efficiency and strengthen risk visibility.
This is a highly customer-facing engineering position with strong exposure to architecture, prototyping, and the conversion of technical security metrics into measurable business impact.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $180,000 – $240,000 annually
Responsibilities
Deploy onsite with customers to assess and optimize security and compliance workflows
Gather detailed requirements from users and executives to inform customized solutions
Integrate the company into existing customer processes and data architectures
Develop AI-native solutions utilizing LLMs and modern tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual labor
Conduct data analysis to translate security metrics into financial terms such as ALE and ROI
Architect and implement integrations, pipelines, and tools connecting to customer systems like SIEM and GRC
Rapidly prototype in the field, transitioning effective solutions into stable, production-ready software
Facilitate communication between Product, Engineering, and customers, incorporating field insights into product development
Qualifications
8+ years of software engineering experience in customer-facing, forward deployed, or solutions engineering roles
Hands-on experience building AI products using LLMs, ML models, or agentic frameworks
Proven success in creating AI-powered features and solutions with a clear understanding of AI's impact on deployment roles
Strong data analysis and data science skills to convert raw data into actionable risk metrics
Ability to ship production code independently in dynamic, customer-facing environments
Fluency in full stack development including backend services, APIs, scripting, and integration patterns
Experience designing solutions within AWS, Azure, and GCP while aligning with existing customer cloud environments
Strong communication skills to bridge technical solutions and business impacts
