Senior Data Scientist
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.
This role will provide technical ownership for applied AI initiatives, guiding high-impact work from concept through production in partnership with product, engineering, research, and MLOps teams.
The position will focus on building and evaluating advanced ML and GenAI solutions, with an emphasis on reliability, scalable deployment, and practical security use cases.
You will also help shape AI strategy, mentor teammates, and communicate technical direction and results to a broad range of stakeholders.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually
Responsibilities
Provide technical ownership for applied AI initiatives across the organization
Lead complex AI projects from concept to production
Act as a senior internal AI consultant for product, engineering, and research teams
Lead research, development, and deployment of models for security use cases
Design and guide advanced GenAI solutions utilizing LLMs
Establish strong practices for experimentation and evaluation
Set technical direction for reliable AI systems
Bridge research and production with scalable APIs and workflows
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and make adoption recommendations
Collaborate with engineering and MLOps teams on deployment and lifecycle management
Mentor data scientists and elevate organizational AI practices
Communicate AI strategy and findings to stakeholders
Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on experience in applied data science, machine learning, or AI engineering
Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with data and AI libraries such as Databricks and scikit-learn
Experience building and shipping ML or GenAI applications
Deep understanding of LLM ecosystems, including OpenAI and Hugging Face
Skill in designing effective LLM applications with structured outputs and retrieval techniques
Experience building agentic AI workflows with orchestration frameworks
Strong evaluation skills for quality metrics and reliability assessment
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
