Sr Software Engineer, Enterprise Data Warehouse
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Sr Software Engineer, Enterprise Data Warehouse to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.
This role will focus on building and enhancing the enterprise data warehouse capabilities that support scalable reporting, analytics, and decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with architecture and Scrum leadership to deliver secure, high-performing data solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
You will also provide technical guidance to junior developers and help drive efficient delivery of complex data engineering work in an Agile environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership and mentor junior developers on the team
Collaborate with the Scrum Master to determine development sequence and deliver design artifacts
Work with principal engineers to align solutions with enterprise architecture
Independently develop, configure, code, and test complex programs
Apply knowledge of industry trends to implement technology practices
Ensure solutions are scalable, available, performant, and secure
Estimate work effort for project planning and escalate issues as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of software development experience, focusing on data warehousing, database design, and ETL
Hands-on experience with ETL solutions using major RDBMS and cloud data tools like Azure Databricks
Strong understanding of data warehouse design principles and real-time processing
Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting distributed systems
Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and BI tools is a plus
