Machine Learning Engineer
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will partner closely with researchers to support experimental workflows and advance the quality of neural network models. The position is focused on evaluating model behavior, surfacing failure modes, and translating experimental findings into clear recommendations. It also requires strong coordination across concurrent workstreams, with thoughtful communication of progress and results to both technical collaborators and external parties.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $150,000 – $250,000 annually
Responsibilities
Collaborate with researchers using existing infrastructure
Characterize neural network quality and identify failure modes
Stay current on trends in research and technology
Coordinate with researchers and provide experiment status updates
Manage multiple concurrent experiments and estimate completion timelines
Review experimental results and propose improvements
Write technical reports for external parties summarizing results
Qualifications
Practical optimism in facing experimental challenges
Proficiency in Python
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts
Detail-oriented with introspection and thoughtfulness
