Software Engineer- Money Movement
About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer- Money Movement to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will focus on building and improving backend systems that support secure, scalable money movement capabilities within a regulated financial environment.
You will own critical technical initiatives from design through deployment, partnering closely with product, compliance, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable payment functionality.
The position also calls for strong technical leadership in distributed systems, architectural quality, and thoughtful use of emerging AI tools to improve business outcomes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $154,000+ annually
Responsibilities
Own and drive key stablecoin-based money movement projects from design to deployment
Build and maintain backend systems and APIs for payment integration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, secure solutions that meet regulatory requirements
Improve the performance and reliability of distributed systems by identifying and addressing bottlenecks
Ensure engineering quality through code reviews and adherence to architectural best practices
Qualifications
2+ years of software engineering experience in backend systems, preferably in fintech or crypto
Proficiency in backend languages like Go or Java and cloud services such as AWS or GCP
Experience as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for technical project delivery
Background in blockchain technologies, particularly stablecoins and on-chain payments
Ability to create technical design documents and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Knowledge in utilizing generative AI responsibly for business improvements
