Responsibilities
- Translate product and business questions into measurable analytical and modeling problems
- Prepare and validate datasets, features, and evaluation splits
- Develop statistical and machine learning models and compare them with meaningful baselines
- Design experiments and analyze uncertainty, bias, and model performance
- Partner with engineers to integrate useful models and monitor their performance over time
Qualification
Required
- Practical experience completing applied data science projects
- Strong Python and SQL skills for data preparation and analysis
- Understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, supervised learning, and model evaluation
- Ability to identify leakage, sampling bias, and limitations in data and experimental results
- Ability to explain methods, uncertainty, and recommendations to different audiences
Preferred
- Experience with ranking, recommendation, or search problems
- Familiarity with experiment platforms, model monitoring, and reproducible ML workflows
