About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Air Proprietary 2 team based in Berkeley, MO. This role is integral to supporting Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) operations, specifically within the Air Dominance Air Proprietary Program 2. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining digital engineering tools, pipelines, and solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering processes. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in software development and programming. Candidates must be U.S. citizens eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance and Special Program Access, which requires U.S. citizenship. For senior levels, such as Level 3 or 4, extensive experience—ranging from 5 to over 9 years—is preferred. Familiarity with software tools, containers, orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, and a solid understanding of engineering disciplines and lifecycle processes will be advantageous. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with integrated product teams (IPTs) to gather and document Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE) requirements, ensuring that capabilities are clearly defined and aligned with program objectives.
Design, develop, and implement software tools, plugins, and solutions that support the broader program DEE, including development pipelines, software delivery architectures, and program gateway support.
Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure high quality, reliability, and performance before deployment to the DEE environment.
Manage defect requests related to DEE products by triaging issues, prioritizing fixes, and implementing solutions efficiently to minimize impact on development workflows.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and adherence to software development best practices, including validation and verification processes to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying innovative approaches to improve existing tools and workflows.
Support integration efforts with other engineering systems and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall program capabilities.
