Backend-heavy Forward Deployed Engineer role at a Series A AI company ($15M raised) building autonomous agent systems for enterprise finance operations, already in production with real customers and a seven-figure ARR contract.
What you'd do:
70% hands-on Python, building and deploying AI agent systems. 30% owning enterprise customer relationships end to end, from scoping through delivery.
What we're looking for:
4-7 years as a customer-facing software engineer or forward deployed engineer - non negotiable
Strong Python, backend-first
Experience shipping AI/LLM systems into production
Comfortable owning a project independently, no hand-holding
Comp & details:
$180K-$220K base plus competitive equity
100% medical, dental, vision
Onsite 5 days, North Beach, San Francisco
$5,000 relocation support if you're not local
Open to OPT→H1B and H1B transfers
Flat team, engineers report directly to the CTO, zero micromanagement. High bar, high ownership.
