- About the Opportunity:
The Lead Software Engineer role is responsible for developing and enhancing analytics applications and big data solutions that support payment integrity efforts. This position drives the creation and maintenance of scalable cloud-based analytics, rules engines, and AI/ML models, contributing directly to the organization’s ability to identify recoveries and improve health system efficiencies.
- Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, document, and maintain scalable Big Data and cloud solutions
Develop and implement analytics rules engines
Research and deploy new tools and frameworks for Big Data platforms
Identify improvements for existing solutions
Define and develop APIs for data integration
Analyze and define customer requirements
Assist in defining technical architecture
Estimate development efforts for project planning
Create prototypes and design AI/ML models
Collaborate with management, quality assurance, architecture, and development teams
Write technical documentation and support production
Maintain up-to-date skills through self-directed training
- Requirements:
12+ years in Information Technology
8+ years of software application development
5+ years using Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
3+ years developing solutions in public cloud environments like Azure or AWS
2+ years developing and maintaining web APIs or RESTful services
2+ years with distributed systems such as Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, or Snowflake
2+ years with MySQL and NoSQL databases
2+ years supporting Agile methodologies
2+ years with AI/ML-driven solutions
1+ year building services or full stack applications with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Node.js, React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range $112,700 to $193,200 annually, based on full-time employment
