About The Role

The Software Engineer - Full Stack role builds the web products and backend services that customers use every day. The work spans React and TypeScript interfaces, API and service development, data modeling, and integrations supporting reliable, high-volume user workflows.

The engineer will own features from technical design through production rollout, partnering with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver fast, secure, maintainable software. The role is remote within the Austin, TX market and requires strong judgment across both frontend and backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and ship end-to-end product features using React, TypeScript, and a backend stack such as Node.js, Python, or Java

Build versioned REST or GraphQL APIs, background jobs, and service integrations with clear contracts, observability, and failure handling

Model and optimize data in PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases; evaluate caching, indexing, and event-driven patterns as systems scale

Develop accessible, responsive user interfaces with reusable components, robust client-side state management, and automated test coverage

Deploy and operate production services using AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and infrastructure-as-code

Improve application performance, security, reliability, and developer workflows through profiling, monitoring, code reviews, and practical architectural improvements

Collaborate with product managers and designers to break ambiguous requirements into incremental releases and measurable outcomes

What We Are Looking For

3–8 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications

Strong proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, preferably React, plus practical experience with HTML, CSS, and browser performance

Hands-on backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or a comparable language, including API design, asynchronous processing, and service integration

Experience designing relational data models and writing efficient SQL with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or an equivalent database

Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, containerized deployment, CI/CD, automated testing, and application monitoring

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Bonus: Experience with GraphQL, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka or other event-streaming systems, mobile-responsive design, or large-scale consumer products
