Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change

how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one

well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from

all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale

growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project

critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as

As a part of this role, you will help scientists science, and build AI products

from 0 to 1 that actually launch. As a part of this role, you will be someone

who sees themselves as a product engineer, someone who wants to sit close to the

user and close the feedback, and build great products through working with

people and collaborating.

As a part of Google Labs, you will be focused on incubating early-stage efforts

in direct support of Google's core products and mission. You will help Google

discover and create new, cutting-edge AI products, and to do this, you will

focus on small teams that take a product driven approach to creating those “next

things”.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with research teams, as well as cross-functional partners

(Product Management, User Experience, Technical Program Management (PM, UX,

TPM) across and outside of Labs.

  • Contribute to and drive parts of the overall product and engineering roadmap.
  • Develop functional product features with full-stack development though

back-end only work is fine as well.

  • Build deep understanding of language and multi-modal technologies and

approach to applying them in the product’s context.

  • Prototype AI solutions for new product features, and support landing them in

production.
