MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development with C++, Python, or Go
programming language.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Understanding of computer architecture, server hardware, networking basics
(e.g., switches, routers), out-of-band management.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and system-level programming concepts.
- Interest in distributed systems, operating systems, or low-level software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build features and improve infrastructure to support scaling Load Balancing
products to meet the needs of our Google Cloud Platform customers.
- Contribute to projects involving hardware qualification, low-level software
integration, optimizing system performance, and enhancing our fleet
management capabilities. Examples of team projects include Vendor-on-Net,
Borgification (off-net and on-net), and XT-ToR.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners (e.g., hardware
vendors, SRE teams, service owners) to deliver on project goals.
- Improve system reliability, performance, security, and scalability across a
large, distributed fleet.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software systems and
features, primarily using C++, Python, and Go.
