About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Software Engineer (Experience or Senior level) to join our Phantom Works Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS) Solutions team based in Berkeley, MO. This role involves supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization in developing cutting-edge software solutions for complex aerospace systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from initial design through testing and deployment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or related fields, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret & Special Program Access is required. Candidates should have extensive experience in C++ and C#, Linux development, and version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of software architecture development, open architectures, network communication protocols (TCP/UDP), and experience working in multi-contract/multi-program environments are essential. Preferred qualifications include more than five years of related experience, familiarity with host environments, software design methodologies, and development tools, as well as a strong understanding of safety and verification practices in software development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software throughout its lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.

Translate customer requirements into software design specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility.

Develop interface definitions and ensure seamless integration between various software components.

Perform unit testing and integration testing to validate software functionality and performance.

Participate in peer reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.

Support system integration and testing activities, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Create comprehensive software documentation to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
