BIT is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for a federal client, leveraging expertise in AI/ML development, advanced analytics, and automation to deliver mission-focused, scalable, and secure solutions. The role involves providing technical leadership, developing predictive and prescriptive models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align analytics capabilities with enterprise objectives. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, modern AI/ML frameworks, and RPA tools is required.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership in analytics and AI/ML solutions
Develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics
Use Python, Anaconda, and Jupyter notebooks for modeling and prototyping
Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate model switch data pipelines
Support data governance activities (tagging, metadata management and secure sharing)
Develop RPA solutions to automate business processes
Evaluate and recommend analytics products to ensure mission alignment
Communicate findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports
Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance (required).
Bachelors in data science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field\
4+ years of professional experience in Data Science and AI/ML
Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch,Scikit-learn)
Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Python-based)
Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
