What you’ll do in the role:
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer in New York, New York to design and implement critical system for electronic real-time trade reporting plant in North America, lead effort to communicate with business owners, build and test the electronic trading system to support the business growth in North America and other regions. Manage robust messaging middleware/tooling. Improve the software development life cycle process (e.g. code review/TDD/DevOps). Drive technical renovation globally to improve trade reporting system observability and AI integration. Provide the required support and training as the development team grows. Provide on-site production IT environment support. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
What you’ll bring to the role:
-Requires a Master’s in Engineering (any), or a related field.
-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Vice President, Associate, or a related technical occupation.
-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
C++;
Java;
Python;
SQL;
JSON;
Git;
Linux;
Object Oriented Design;
Data Structure;
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); and
Working in Financial Services Environment.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $195,000 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
