Role Description This full-time, on-site Senior Software Engineer role is located in the Greater Colorado Springs Area. The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain back-end software solutions that support complex technical requirements. Daily responsibilities include writing high-quality, efficient code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and architecture. The role involves troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems, contributing to technical decision-making, and mentoring less-experienced engineers. The Senior Software Engineer will also help improve development processes and ensure best practices in software engineering are consistently applied.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on Java.
Expertise in the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Security).
roven experience deploying and running workloads in Kubernetes (Helm, kubectl, ingress controllers).
Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Proficiency in unit, integration, and contract testing (JUnit 5)
Ability to analyze complex technical problems, propose solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering role, including mentoring and guiding other developers.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
