Software Engineer - Full Stack
About the role
North Point Technology is looking to hire a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a geospatial intelligence data management program supporting national security missions. This role requires an active Top Secret security clearance. The program delivers cutting-edge geospatial data management applications and services to a large-scale intelligence community customer, supporting thousands of analysts and decision-makers at locations worldwide. The team is focused on pioneering automation solutions and developing innovative capabilities that transform how geospatial intelligence is produced and distributed to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
As a member of a software development Scrum team, you will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities including designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that addresses business and mission requirements. You will apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development lifecycle, verify software requirements, support system integration, correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, and compile documentation to ensure software standards are met.
Required Skills/Experience:
Java software development
TypeScript and/or Angular front-end development
Software requirements verification using tools such as Jira and/or Confluence
Agile/Scrum software development processes
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Kubernetes container orchestration
Docker containerization
Continuous Integration and Deployment tools: Git, Jenkins, Puppet
SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) processes
JEE/Spring framework development
RESTful and/or SOAP Web Services
JSON and XML data formats
AI prompting techniques applied to software development workflows
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret security clearance (required; position is located at a facility requiring special access)
U.S. Citizenship required
