Responsibilities

MIRA is looking for a talented Founding Software Engineer to help build the next evolution of human-computer interaction. This role is full-time, in-person, in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong computer science and systems fundamentals across areas such as TypeScript, Python, C/C++, mobile, backend infrastructure, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience building complex technical products end-to-end, ideally across software, AI, and hardware boundaries.
• Strong product intuition and ability to make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs in fast-moving environments.
• Comfortable owning ambiguous problems, moving across the stack, and shipping production systems under tight iteration cycles.

These might make you a great fit:

• Experience with real-time audio, low-latency systems, LLM or AI infrastructure, mobile apps, device connectivity, or embedded systems is a major plus.
• Prior experience at an early-stage startup, ideally as a Founding or early engineer, is a strong plus.
• Prior experience building consumer products is a strong plus.
