The Role

We're looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our close-knit team and help build the future of aviation education. This is an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects that directly impact pilot training and safety in the aviation industry.

Location: In-person, 5 days per week

Employment Type: Full-time

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain our interactive online training platform using modern web technologies

Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces for our aviation ground school applications

Collaborate with our digital media team to film and stream educational lessons

Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering solutions

Work in an agile development environment with opportunities for growth and learning

Take ownership of projects from conception to deployment

Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality development standards

Required Technical Skills

Backend: Python, FastAPI

Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, React, TailwindCSS

Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, and related services)

Database: MongoDB

Identity Management: Authentik IdP

Development Practices: Git/GitHub, documentation, logging, testing

Preferred Qualifications

Mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android)

Private pilot certificate or student pilot status

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education

Previous experience in EdTech or aviation industry
