Senior SDET / Automation Engineer
Location: Cupertino, CA
We are looking for a Senior SDET / Automation Engineer with strong experience in test automation, Python, and software/hardware testing. This role will support Health Sensing Engineering, focusing on automation, regression testing, debugging, and quality validation for software running on Watch and iOS devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable, reliable test automation frameworks using Python and Shell.
Own and maintain regression test suites and support software test passes and releases.
Execute, analyze, triage, and debug complex hardware/software systems.
Identify automation opportunities and develop solutions to improve test execution.
Develop test reports, quality metrics, telemetry, and KPI dashboards.
Participate in post-mortems and drive improvements to prevent recurring issues.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams and oversee contractor deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as an SDET, Automation Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.
Strong Python and Shell/Bash scripting skills.
Experience with unit, integration, functional, performance, and regression testing.
Experience with hardware/software debugging and test automation frameworks.
Experience with telemetry, monitoring, dashboards, or production performance metrics.
Experience supporting software releases and test passes.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
Preferred:
Experience testing embedded devices, algorithms, sensors, wearables, or health/medical software.
Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP).
Experience with macOS/UNIX systems.
Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and project management skills.
