Software Engineer

Position is Onsite 5 days a week in Redmond, Washington

Rate to the candidate is $70-75/hr w2

Candidate coming from FAANG, MANGO, or Magnificent 7 are preferred

12 month contract

Must haves: C#, .NET, Senior level UI is a nice to have

Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to develop, prototype, and maintain web-based applications, automation solutions, and internal tools that support business needs, while providing ongoing support until ownership can be transitioned to long-term teams.

Key projects: This role will be made up of full-stack software development, application maintenance, automation projects, and supporting web-based tools across multiple initiatives as business needs arise.

Candidate Requirements

Disqualifiers: Candidates who are unable or unwilling to work on-site five days per week will not be eligible for the role.

Best vs. Average: The ideal resume will demonstrate 8-10 years of software engineering experience, strong expertise in data structures, algorithms, software design, and large-scale systems development. Candidates should have experience troubleshooting, testing, and supporting production systems, with a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field. Mechanical or electrical knowledge is a plus. U.S. Citizenship and the ability to work onsite five days per week are required.

Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include one round with sponsor.

Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should be prepared to discuss their technical experience and share examples of complex projects they have worked on during the skills assessment.

Summary:

The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems

Job Responsibilities:

Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects

Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data

Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications

Implement system software and customize to client requirements

Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans

Code new programs to client’s specifications and create test data for testing

Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs

Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation

Provide quality assurance reviews

Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

8-10 years experience required

A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design

Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems

experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution
