AI/ML Engineer bridges the gap between data science and software engineering. While Data Scientists typically focus on analyzing data, experimenting, and building statistical models, AI/ML Engineers focus on architecting, scaling, deploying, and maintaining production-grade machine learning and artificial intelligence systems.
Track real-time inference latency, system resource utilization, and memory usage.
Monitor for data drift (changes in input distribution) and concept drift (degradation in model precision), triggering automated retraining cycles.
Ensure compliance, guardrails, data privacy, and bias mitigation across production endpoints.
Clean, transform, validate, and structure raw, unstructured, or semi-structured data for model consumption.
Extract, select, and construct informative features from raw data to optimize model predictive power.
Build and optimize automated, scalable data extraction pipelines to continuously feed training workflows using tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Airflow.
