About the role

We're working with a leading financial institution that provides a full range of banking services, committed to delivering innovative and secure financial solutions.

The Role

Design, develop, enhance, and support secure, scalable, and high-performing APIs and microservices for Payments, Money Movement, and Information Reporting platforms.

Participate in the modernization and migration of APIs and integration services from on-premises environments to AWS cloud-native architectures.

Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, IAM, KMS, and AWS Transfer Family.

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS-native technologies.

Support existing API platforms by troubleshooting issues, implementing new functionality, improving resiliency, and optimizing performance.

Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices to improve software quality and maintainability.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of experience.

3+ years of proven experience building and migrating enterprise-scale APIs utilizing AWS technologies such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, IAM, and KMS.

Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, RESTful API development, microservices architecture, API security, and cloud-native application design.

Experience with Terraform, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architectures.

Hands-on experience leading API modernization and cloud migration initiatives, including decomposition of monolithic applications into microservices.
